«Vegg» на норвежском означает «стена». Главный фасад дома действительно похож на стену — прямая линия из кирпича длиной 29 метров. Нарушает эту линию только стеклянный эркер, который является ключевым архитектурным элементом здания, придавая ему современный внешний вид. За стеклянными стенами эркера расположена диванная зона гостиной, а под массивным фризом из кирпича — уютный проход в дом.
"Vegg" means "wall" in Norwegian. The main facade of the house really looks like a wall — a straight line of bricks 29 meters long. The only thing that breaks this line is the glass bay window, which is the key architectural element of the building, giving it a modern look. Behind the glass walls of the bay window is the living room sofa area, and under the massive brick frieze is a cozy passageway into the house.
Сами планировки здания довольно просторные, учитывая то, что в таком большом доме всего четыре спальни. Так как дом одноэтажный, хозяйская спальня и детские расположены в двух разных его частях,
это обеспечивает больший комфорт для проживания и хорошую звукоизоляцию.
The layout of the building itself is quite spacious. Considering that there are only four bedrooms in such a large house. Since the house is one-storey, the master bedroom and children's bedroom are located in two different parts of the house, this provides more comfort for living and good soundproofing.
В отделке фасадов использован клинкерный кирпич и дерево, окрашенное в черный цвет. Такой прием оставляет внешний вид здания брутальным, но при этом достаточно гостеприимным и уютным за счет дерева, которое использовано в отделке входных групп.
Clinker brick and black-painted wood are used in the facades. This technique leaves the appearance of the building brutal, but also quite welcoming and cozy due to the wood that is used in the decoration of the entrances.
